On the 27th of November 2025 Elisabeth Scheibelhofer and Martina Kanovich held a presentation at the Migration Midterm Conference hosted by research network 35 of the European Sociological Association in Athens. It was titled „Graded Whiteness and Epistemic Borders: Anti-Eastern European Racism and the Politics of Knowledge Production in Migration Sociology“ and dealt with the different ways in which experiences of (racist) discrimination are narrated in interviews with migrants from Central and Eastern Europe in Vienna.
